What: Concert Of Depeche Mode
When: 26 February
Sold out in NSC “Olympic” June 29, 2013 was so impressed by the cult band Depeche Mode, the British decided to play in Kiev another concert. Kyiv Sculpture Project is back! Festival of contemporary sculpture, brought together in 2012 600 thousand visitors, will again take place in the capital’s Botanical garden. In addition to the contest participants of the Main project, Kyiv Sculpture Project 2014 will present the work of famous British artists selected by the partner of the festival, the largest sculpture Park in Europe ― Yorkshire Sculpture Park.
What: Concert Of Aerosmith

At the end of spring in Ukraine for the first time by the legendary rock group Aerosmith. The history of the famous “five from Boston” began over 40 years ago with the creative Union of Steven Tyler (drummer and vocalist) and Joe Perry (guitarist). Since Aerosmith has received 4 “Grammy”, included in the “Hall of fame rock n ‘ roll” and a list of hundreds of the greatest musicians of all time by the magazine Rolling Stone, and more — grew up on his songs, several generations of music lovers. They will all meet at the NSC “Olympic” may 21.
What: a Tour of London theatre “globe”
In Kiev goes the famous London theatre “globe”! Thank for this is William Shakespeare, whose 450th anniversary with pomp celebrating the legendary troupe. The tour ’s Globe’ in 205 countries of the world will begin in April 2014. In Kiev, the English theatre will show at the famous Shakespeare’s play “hamlet”. The show is scheduled for may 24 and will be held under the open sky.
What: Music festival Sziget
Where: Kiev, Trukhaniv island
The largest and most popular music festival in Europe, the Sziget (Hungarian “island”) every summer since 1992, takes place on the Obuda island in Budapest. In 2014 Sziget will expand its locations, adding to the main festival — on Trukhanov island. It is planned that the Kiev Sziget, like Budapest, will become an annual event.
What: Festival “Dreamland”

When: end of June-beginning of July
International ethnic festival “Dreamland” will gather like-minded people on the “grounds” for the eleventh time. The organizers headed by the festival’s founder Oleg Skrypka prepared an extensive programme of festivities and fairs. In 2014 it will include and exhibitions of folk art and book fair, and cooking traditional Ukrainian food, and Cossack entertainment, and, of course, music concerts in the Evening scene.
What: Odessa international film festival
When: 11–19 July
In 2013 the FESTIVAL was attended by over 100 million viewers. The fifth film festival, which will open its doors on July 11, according to no less success. The program will traditionally include the international competition of feature films, non-competition retrospectives, special screenings and gala opening-closing of the festival. Among the innovations 2014 — the films of art-mainstream (i.e., auteur cinema, which can be interesting to a wide audience).
What: twenty-first publishers ‘ Forum
When: 10–14 September
One of the biggest in Eastern Europe book forums will be held in Lviv at 21-th time. Last year the Forum was attended by more than 50 thousands of book lovers from across the country, with over 100 thousand books from 220 publishers. In part XXI of the forum of publishers in Lviv will be the traditional book fair and the 9th Lviv international literary festival. The status of “Country – Guest of honor” of this year are the States of the Danube region.
What: Future Generation Art Prize
In autumn 2014 the PinchukArtCentre will present an exhibition of twenty-one shortlisted artists for the Future Generation Art prize 2014 ― the international award for young artists up to 35 years. Twenty participants of the shortlist will be reviewed by international experts. Twenty-first nominee for the award has already become Zhanna Kadyrova is the winner of the PinchukArtCentre Prize 2013. The name of the winner will be announced at the awards ceremony in December 2014.
