In Barranquilla began the most famous carnival in Colombia

 

From 9 to 12 February 2013-the year in Colombia, the large port city of Barranquilla (Barranquilla) will host its famous carnival, which annually welcomes over half a million people. This is one of the most colorful Latin American carnivals, second in popularity only to the carnival in Oruro (Bolivia) and Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). Directly the carnival in Barranquilla begins on February 9, but since the middle of January preparing for the holiday, the so-called “precorneal”: almost every day on the streets and squares of the city are a number of performances, dance shows and entertainment program dedicated to the upcoming celebration.

Festivals and holidays in Spain

 

Traditionally Spaniards meet spring with the whole series of holidays and festivals, most of which has a long history and established traditions. So, Granada and Cordoba spend the may Festival of the Holy cross.
